The CYD needs YOUR help, in order to affect real political action on climate change.  The outcome of Copenhagen has relevance for every single Canadian and as such the UN process should engage as many people as possible.  As a result, this year CYD Copenhagen will be structured with two delegations: a Copenhagen delegation and a Home-Team delegation.

That’s why we are seeking young people from across our vast country to lobby our elected officials, coordinate actions, and mobilize our communities to demand real governmental action on climate change, both in the lead up and during the UN Climate talks in Copenhagen. It will take a critical mass of hundreds of thousands of concerned Canadians to make Climate Action NOW the only option.  The Home Team is pivotal in building this powerful movement, and will serve the critical function of influencing public opinion back home during the Conference, organizing rapid response actions, and working with media.  To join the Home Team, check out the project teams below and email us at hometeam@ourclimate.ca with the subject “REQUEST TO JOIN HOME TEAM.”  Please include your name, contact info, location, and tell us which project team you’re interesting in joining.
